Starbound Gymnastics Academy opened it's doors on 25th September 2017 and became an incorporated LLP on 11th November 2024.

The head coaches, Marie Carrigan and Gemma Buchanan had worked together previously at another gymnastics club, and had talked about a shared dream to one day open their own club. The more they talked, the more they realised they had a shared vision to run a club which could offer top quality experiences to all gymnasts, regardless of their age, ability or skill level.

When the closure of the sports hall at the dolphin centre was announced, the club that Marie and Gemma worked for also announced the end of their classes in Bromsgrove. An opportunity to realise their dream came about and Starbound was born.
